Lucille M. Valentine

Lucille M. Valentine, 74, of Tamaroa, passed away at 10:50 A.M., Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lucille was a homemaker and a retired seamstress from Bridal Originals.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pinckneyville, Tamaroa American Legion Auxiliary, and Westside Birthday Club.
She was born January 14, 1929 at Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of Edward and Myrtle (Jausel) Nehrkorn.
She married Kenneth Carl Valentine on November 6, 1952 at Cairo, IL and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2002.
She is survived by four sons - Richard Valentine, Allen Valentine and wife Peggy, Mark Valentine and wife Judy, and Ronald Valentine and wife Diane, all of Tamaroa, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother - Kenneth Nehrkorn and one sister - Gladys Pelker.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Ron Jansen officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa and from 9 to 10 A.M., Wednesday at the church.
Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
